Be glad of life, it gives you a chance to love and to work and to play -and to look up at the stars. -Henry Van Dyke

This last weekend we headed south in search of sunshine. We ended up repelling with some good friends of ours Friday, and doing some "canyoneering" Naomi repelled for her first time off a cliff that was about 100 ft. up. :) She is a champion. She was so cute. She kinda looked like a little monkey. It was one of the most coolest things I have ever seen.
We practiced in Zion on Saturday with Naomi and Jonah, off some big boulders and small drops. They are Rock Stars. I wish my parents would have taken me when I was young and brave. I think Aaron is the best dad in the whole wide world. What a great way to celebrate the beginning of the Easter weekend!

Life O' Ogden

This is our most recent family photo. Taken this last December by the BEST photographer in the world Kris Willyerd. She is awesome!!

Aaron just finished the Moab Adventure Race in which his team took 7th place in their division. Go Chicken or Pig. Also racing in a different division was Jared and Brant, they did awesome too. :D

Naomi is in second grade. Jonah is in Kindergarten. They are both so smart and getting almost straight "4"'s in their classes. They have both brought home citizenship awards from their teachers and principal, and with this long winter they have become expert skiers with their dad. Both skiing on their own this year and even gowing off "jumps" and doing what I think is "accidental" back flips. Hahaha. They are SO cute, and I really wish I was more like them.

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass.

Take kindly to the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

About Me

My photo
Mother of the 2 best kids in the ENTIRE universe. They wear me out of coarse, because they take after Aaron. :) We like the outdoors- ok, mostly Aaron and the kids like the outdoors, I just tag along. We all like vacations and playing. Aaron is just as hard a worker as he is a player and I am so grateful for both. I know it sounds cheesy but life is better than I ever imagined.
